Follow my new healthy eating plan, mainly raw fruit, veg and salad. 80% Raw natural foods either in their natural state or juiced blended. Accompanied by a small portion of whatever I’ve cooked for the family at lunch and dinner time.

My kids are a bit fussy when it comes to smoothies, especially if they’re primarily made with vegetables or not-so-sweet fruit. So I created a sweet tasting naughty but nice cherry smoothie… The In-cherry-ble Hulk! What child could resist such an awesome sounding smoothie? 😄 😋

My smoothie definitely passed the taste test, both Zach & Dylan loved it.

 

Ingredients

  • 3 Almonds
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Orange
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 Red sweet pepper
  • 3 Glacier cherries
  • Half a teaspoon of Manuka honey

 

Instructions

Blend the following together with water – Almonds, orange, and Sweet pepper. Pour into your glass. Blend the remaining ingredients (excluding the glacier cherries), again with a little water and pour onto your orange and sweet pepper mix. Chop your cherries and place on top.

 

Ingredients benefits:

Almonds- A great source of vitamin E, copper, magnesium, and is high in protein. Almonds are also a fab antioxidant, therefore a superb superfood to add to your diet if you’re trying to improve or maintain healthy skin, nails and hair.

Orange- Contain vitamin C and is a great antioxidant. One glass of orange juice a day may protect against inflammatory joint diseases.

Manuka Honey- Amazing healing and energy boosting properties.

Spinach- High in niacin and zinc, as well as protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese. Eating spinach on a regular basis helps prevent osteoporosis and  iron-deficiency anaemia along with cardiovascular diseases, cancers of colon and prostate.

Green apple- Contains natural anti-aging properties, eliminates dark eye circles, improves skin texture and health, boosts hair growth and prevents hair loss, promotes healthy strong bones and boosts your metabolism.

Glacier Cherries- Well, they’re a bit of a treat, packed with sugar I think this overrides any health benefits a cherry would have!
