Zachary LOVES using colour in his artwork and during activity time. We decided to make some colourful DINOSAUR SENSORY BOTTLES. It’s a great calming device for an upset child, whether they have Autism or just a short temper. Other than that they look really cool, the end result is an explosion of pretty colours and sparkly metallics all swirling in a little bottle!
What we used:
Dinosaur stickers 🙂
*I added the mouthwash as I had no blue food colouring… plus I’m hoping it’ll keep algae from forming as they’re in Zach’s window!
How we did it:
Add water to your bottle, leaving as much space as you want for the oil. You can either leave the oil clear or mix your desired colour using food colouring. PREMIX the coloured oil in a separate bottle by shaking vigorously.
Add your glitter! You can experiment with all sorts of different things- beads, feathers, rice, pasta.. we actually tried out some loom bands which floated in the oil. Zachary gave the thumbs up to that one.
THE MUMMY BIT- I sealed the bottle using a glue gun. I can’t be dealing with any rainbow leaks on my carpet 🙁
