Everybody loves a treat now and then, so when a healthy, vitamin-loaded hot chocolate drink was introduced, I thought that i’d have to give it a try.
I have to be in the right frame of mind for a hot chocolate; it has to be chilly, I have to be in snuggly clothes, and it has to be tasty, and preferably in one of my winter mugs 🙂 With the setting just right, I concocted this anti-ageing hot chocolate recipe and it was so good…
- Half a sachet of Parlers Coffee ‘Gourmet Hot Chocolate’
- Teaspoon of Manuka Honey
- Soya milk
- Pinch of Nutmeg
Heat up your Soya milk (or milk of your choice) in a mug and add half a sachet of Parlers Coffee ‘Gourmet Hot Chocolate‘. Add in a teaspoon of Manuka honey and stir, and lastly sprinkle with a pinch of Nutmeg and enjoy!
Parlers Coffee ‘Gourmet Hot Chocolate‘- Contains Ganoderma Lucidum which is widely considered in Asia to be the closest thing to nutritional perfection. 6 times more calcium than a glass of milk, and 7 times more vitamin C than a glass of orange juice. Ganoderma Lucidum has been named the “Medicine of Eternal Life”, primarily because of its skin benefits which include: skin protection, age delaying properties, retains and regulates the water in skin, therefore maintains the skins elasticity, keeps it hydrated and smooth.
Manuka Honey- Amazing healing and energy boosting properties.
Soya Milk- There are many contradicting health benefits surrounding Soya milk, but to be honest, you could say the same for cows milk! I like the Taste of Soya in my hot drinks so that’s primarily why I usually switch between Almond milk and Soya. Soya milk is lower in sugars compared to cows milk and has added calcium and vitamin D.
Nutmeg- has the ability to relieve pain, aid indigestion, detoxify the body, boost skin health, increase immune system function, and improve blood circulation. This is probably achievable in larger quantities, so a pinch added to my hot chocolate just makes it taste good!
Parler Coffee have also been so kind as to share one of their coffees, again these contain that wonderful anti-ageing elixir Ganoderma Lucidum, which is amazing! I’ll definitely be sharing my thoughts on that one…
